Here are descriptions & dimensions to help you decide what size best fits your needs:
How to determine the correct size of straw you need.
With the variety of styles, diameters and lengths available, it can seem overwhelming to try and figure out what straw works best for you. Use the process below to determine what you need.
— First, determine the style:
In most cases, this is a matter of personal preference. In general, the Decorative Dots and Beautiful Bends will not roll off of the table or counter. Conversely, you may not want a Beautiful Bend if it is going in a stainless steel container with a lid (the bend would be beneath the lid and not really serve its intended purpose.) The Decorative Dots can be used to color code your drinks, much like wine charms.
Styles available are:
Not all styles are available in each size, however, we can custom make any combination of diameter/length/style that would suite your need. You can email or call for a quote.
Use the Sipper – for cocktails, mocktails, wines, teas & juices without any pulp.
Ice Tea Straws
Use the Ice Tea – for water, Ice Tea, juices with pulp. This is the most popular and versatile diameter.
Use the Coffee Straw – for iced coffees, tall cocktails and mocktails, water.
Use the Smoothie – for thicker shakes & smoothies.
Bubble Tea Straws
Use the Bubble Tea – for Bubble Tea drinks.
— Finally, determine the length:
If your straw is too short for your glass or bottle, it will be difficult to use. If it’s too long, it will be more easily knocked over. You will want to measure the container you will be using your straw with. Using a tape measure or ruler, measure from the far side of the glass at the bottom to the near edge of the top of the glass. Add 1 or 2 inches to this measurement and round up to the nearest inch. That is the length you will need. The exact measurement is not critical as long as the length would allow the straw to stick out about 1 to 2 inches.
If we do not stock the exact size & style of straw that you need, let us know! We’ll be happy to make it for you!! A $2.00 special order fee would apply.
